Hello All

Hey everyone. Just wanted to pop in and introduce myself. I'm Scar. My wife, daughter, two dogs and I recently purchased a 2022 hideout 26BHWE to travel for the next year or so as I work remotely. This is our first RV purchase and we are very excited to go nomad for a little while!

Welcome. You might want to put together a signature with year, make and model of you camper and same for tow vehicle. Next, put your state code behind the city as that will help folks who have never heard of your town know approximately where you are located if the answers to some of your questions may need climate/temp info to give context. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice! I'll have to keep updating the current location, however. We're going full time for at least a year.

Hello Scar and a big welcome to all your family!

One thing that will help is to spend a couple of nights "camping" in your driveway. This will give you great opportunity to learn about all the systems in the trailer and identify what needs attention before you head out cross country. From personal experience, it was worth the time and effort.

Enjoy your travels and stay safe!

We actually did get that chance! We spent a week in our driveway and then our next stop was two weeks at a friends farm. We are now in our first Boondockers Welcome host and so far it has been great other than a few hiccups and fixes that need(ed) made. We have been pleasantly surprised at how easily we've been adapting!
