Keystone Sprinter/New owner
Morning! I'm new to this forum and recently purchased a 2021 Keystone Sprinter.
I've had a few minor issues! First my shower door imploded some weeks back  . I hadn't even showered in it yet! Came home to glass everywhere! What a mess to clean up . Just glad I wasn't in it when it happened. I did call and check to see if there were any 'recalls' and got a very quick reply of no.
My new issue is my awning. Can someone please help me with the 'pitch'? I like having a pitch so water falls straight off. When it's extended the water builds up very quickly.
I pull the arms down as it is instructed but it just extends back up? Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum!
We have a Dometic awning. Each arm has a friction knob. I just loosen the knob on the side I want the water to flow and lower that end slightly then re-tighten the knob.
Not sure which type awning you have but pretty sure they all have a similar capability.

You don't say what brand awning you have but like Brian mentioned, my last awnings have been Dometic and do just what he says. The friction knob needs to be tight or it will creep back out. On a travel trailer you can just reach them from the ground, on the 5th they are so high I only pull down the one by the entry door and tighten it.

Chuck? or Brian? Anyway, on our 5th wheel, I have a rod to grap a loop in a black strap to pull down my awning. You couldn't reach it from the step even if you are a tall fella.

The Carefree awnings have a series of holes on each arm with a push button to adjust.
You can set each at any pitch as long as there's no more than 3 holes difference between each arm, leave them set at that position & still retract without readjusting.

My apologies for not posting the brand of awning! I have a Power Solera. Not the model with the speakers and controls on the arm. Again, trying to keep the pitch lowered. It lowers but doesn't stay. Just moves right back up the the 'flat' position. I really appreciate all of the responses.

If your Solera awning has the pivot that you pull down, you can tighten the screw/nut to add friction.
On that style of awning, DO NOT pull the pivot point back up when you retract the awning, if you go past straight it will break that part. It will straighten itself when the awning is fully retracted.

Shower Door
We had the same thing happen in our Cougar. Shower door just shattered one night. I recommend checking into a retractable Nautilus door from Stoett. Installation was fairly easy and it works great. It opens up the whole bathroom area.
