Anyone have a Awning Screen Room

In final preps for my Alaska trip I sort of stumbled upon Awning screen rooms which I thought might be nice to have. The first place I looked sort of scared me as the price was $800 plus but I did find a couple around $200 for the size I would need. Just wondering if anyone has ever used one of these, cost/style and what you thought of it?

Yes, we do have an awning screen "room" of sorts and had it made up from a place that makes heavy duty tarps for semi-trailers. We had it cut to the size we wanted - going the total length of the awning and almost down to ground level.
They put in grommets where we specified and we had enough fabric left over to go around the sides as well. There are no zippers - just grommets to fasten the sides to the front. It won't keep the bugs or mossies out if that's a feature you are looking for.
There were several colours available. We chose a light brown/tan shade. The fabric itself is quite skookum, is mesh, able to see through and very breathable. It really cuts down the wind and lets plenty of light in but keeps out the sun's rays.
It looks and feels like it will last 100 years. I think we paid around $200 but I'd have to dig into our "records and files" to find the exact price. That could take 100 years before I find it but I'll have a look anyway.
If you have such a place at or near where you live, I'd certainly look into this option. We've been really pleased with the way it turned out!

Thanks for the response Festus. We would like to try and keep a few of the bugs out but this is a great idea and we do have a place that makes stuff like this. I'll check into it.
