Tire Pressure 3500HD DRW

Never having a DRW before I'm confused by the tire pressure plate on the door post. Tires LT235/80R 17E rated for 80psi. The door post states RR I assume that's the rear tires, inflate to 65psi. Why not inflate to 80psi for towing? What do others inflate there tires to?? Is this because it's a DRW and you shouldonly run 65psi??

Thanks, Bruce

THE DOOR POST IS A GOOD PLACE TO START AND IS THE RECOMENDED PRESSURE FOR EVERYDAY DRIVING WITH OUT YOUR TRAILER.LOOK AT THE OWNERS MANUAL FOR FULLY LOADED TIRE PRESSURES. I DO PUT THE 80 PSI IN MY DAULY REAR TIRES WHEN I TOW. BUT LOWER THEM WHEN I AM DONE TOWING THE RIDE IS TOOOOOOO HARD WHEN EMPTY AND THEN MY DW AND THE DOGGIES NEED TO STOP OFTEN TO .....

Tire pressure

I follow the manufacturers recommended pressure for my dually. Dodge states 60 PSI empty and 65 PSI loaded.

The tires are capable of 80psi 65 psi is for a loaded truck bed i have run them at 65 psi with the5er and tire temps go up fairly high at 75-80 psi after 3hrs i can put my hand on the tread w/o felling hot they are warmonly and heat kills tires..
