Screen mounting fix?

Hey y’all
I have two window screens in my Raptor which I can’t get to set properly. They are mounted with these cheesy little clips which are bent and no longer functional. I found replacement clips on a previous thread (Chuckster) but the aluminum frame which the clips mount to are bent and I don’t expect them to function properly even if replaced. I’m wondering if anyone else has had this issue and come up with a better way to mount screens. I’m thinking maybe cut down command strips? Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a couple of "emergency exit windows" in my Cougar. The screens are "quickly removeable" and often "vibrate off the windows. They had small clips that never seemed to work.

I took some aluminum duct tape, cut it the width of the screen and molding around the window frame, sat the screen in place and used the tape to secure it with 3" pieces of metal duct tape in about 4 or 5 places. I can still pull the screen off if the emergency exit is needed, but the screens haven't fallen off the window in over 5 years.

Is the aluminum duct tape silver? Maybe I’ll use black duct tape. Thanks for the tip!
