Portable Electric heater

Im looking for electric heater for a 36 ft toy hauler the garage will be closed off. There are a lot of product out there. Oil filled, infer red . I have a Wave 6 heater that works pretty good , I'm thinking I might like to have electric heater for a back up that works good, any suggestion or experience would nice.

We had the Oil Filled heater for about 3 years and it worked great. Then we came across this Bionair heater at Costco for $75.00 and it weighs less than half of the oil filled one! If weight is not an issue the Oil Filled ones are less expensive!

I've been using an oil filled for 3 or 4 years now. Works great. But I do go
to the furnace when the temps will be sustained below freezing for any
length of time.

I like the oil filled radiator as it just seems safer with everything enclosed and no hot coils being on the outside of it.

I used an oil filled heater for a few years living in a place where it would get down to 20 degrees and below. Put it in the 5th wheel and adjust the temps so it would keep it about 40-45 degrees. Never a problem and never worried about it tipping over.

At what outside temp do you need to turn the propane heater on to supplement the oil filled heater?

I use a Vornado electric room heater. I'm impressed with how well it works. It doesn't get real hot, and because it constantly circulates air, there is a very uniform heating. It will keep my 30' TT comfortable in 40degree weather. I don't see freezing enough to test that.

That is how we started but became concerned with the high surface temperatures and associated risks. That is why we moved on to the Vornado which outputs a max of 125 F. Since it circulates the air well, it limits condensation from forming in the dead spaces like the corners of the ceiling/walls.



Our Vornado at max speed is also much quieter than what our ceramic heater ever was on even the lowest setting.

We used an oil filled radiator heater for many years. The 5er now has the fireplace in the living room and AC heat strip in the bedroom so gave it away. Thinking of getting another for the garage at the house.
