Removed carpet in the main slide.

Today my husband removed the carpet from our main slide and replaced it with Allure sure grip vinyl tile.

Looks great. It's a tough job to replace the carpet on the slide.

This one was pretty easy. They used very few staples on the old carpet. Probably because of the insulation underneath. The whole job took about 4 hours.

I did Allure on the main floor of our previous camper after the vinyl cracked. Love the stuff. Nice job on the slide.

That looks great, and I think we have the exact same model fiver as you guys do. Is that a Laredo 312RE or similar?

Any idea what he used for the "edge" material there? I don't recognize it.

We're thinking about removing the bolted in place table and doing "something else" there.

It's tough to use for more than two people, really.

It'd be better to have some sort of bench along the wall and a moveable table that could be pushed a bit into the "aisle" we think. Haven't decided on anything yet.

Looks great! I was going to ask about the edging as well, what product did he use?

What a great idea! Those carpets get so dirty - actually never thought of extending the vinyl over to the slide area. We have some time to go before ours becomes really bad but now have this idea in mind. Thanks for the post.

Denverpilot , we have a Cougar 333MKS. What he used for the edging is rubber wall board. Home Depot is where we bought everything. The wall board is turned upside down. You can see in the third picture that we planned to vinyl with the sticky side at the edge to help secure the wallboard. Then we used a transition strip from Home Depot to screw it down. Used 3/4 inch #6 screws. The wall board comes in 4ft length, or 120ft lengths. The 20 ft length would have been perfect but it has adhesive on the side we wanted to show.

Makes sense now. I see it. Know just the stuff you're talking about.

I think we have another couple or even a few good years left in our carpet in that slide out, but I really like the look for when it's time to retire it! Or if it keeps curling up at the edge and annoying me. Ha. Also if I tackle replacing the table I'd probably just do both at the same time.

Thanks!
