Some members have reported that the track on which the rack is supported, has bent and become unsafe.
While this has not happened to me, I found that tying down two bikes securely using the collapsible center post was both awkward and ineffective. You needed a lot of bungee cords and tie-downs to properly secure the bikes to the rack.
Secondly, the rack extends so far back that it dragged when going over depressions or changes from level to an incline and was also more prone to greater bouncing up and down because of the long overhang.
Lastly, because of the weight of the spare plus that of the two bikes, I moved the spare from the bumper and placed it in the back of the PU as a precaution. I just didn't trust the whole thing for all of the above reasons.
Sounds good. Looks good. But really not a "good" option IMO.
