After just getting back from our 4,700 mile trek to California from Iowa, closely checking things over it looked like the Equal-i-zer ball might have moved just a teensy bit (the paint around the base was disturbed). Took it to the local dealer...yep, nut torque which should be at 450 lbs. was less than 150 and there was some movement. First time I've checked it in the four years I've had it. And, yes, I always grease my ball.

I have a different shank for each ball. after I torque it, I hit with a tack weld..never had a problem with one getting loose again
