Thanks Jack,
That is my plan. I checked again, the original cord storage is completely built in with no easy access and located under the bathroom sink cabinet.
I had enough wire to wire the male plug into the line correctly so think I can get the new fixture wired in as well.
I just hope it comes out looking as professional as those pictured in this thread.

That was one of the first mods I did when we got our new 5er. I added the PI EMS system and there was no room for the cord in the little cubbie hole so I added an 30 amp inlet receptacle. Ours had to be black so I ordered thru a local suppler, He ordered it directly from Parkpower.
