hot-rc also sells a great led. I have made 2 purchases of 40 lights for 45$. Not one failure. Great light. And shipping is fast, usually arrives in 2-3 days.

Ordered my 921 replacements from 2011_led,

I just pulled the bulbs from my porch and scare lights and they are;
Porch; 1003 12V 15CR
Scare; 1156 12V 32CR

I have no problem finding the 1156 LEDs but I'm not seeing the 1003 models?
Are they both 1156? The mounts look the same..
Hi Mike
Did you use the "10x T10 194 921 168 Bulb Lamp 24-1210SMD LED,Warm White" led's in your 921 fittings?
Any issues with fitting them?
Are they brighter than the incandescent lights?
Cheers

leds

The 921's at the link below are what I use. The color is perfect, they are as bright as stock and the quality is great so far(although more pricey than I would prefer). People that visit the camper don't even know I have LED's they look so similar to standard bulbs.

I tried eBay LED's a couple different times and both times had issues with flicker, early burnout, wires coming loose from the board. Both sets were purchased from sellers with good reputations. I decided to just bite the bullet.

These are the ones I ordered from 2011_led for my Hideout's interior lights;
10x-T10-194-921-168-Bulb-Lamp-24-1210SMD-LED-Warm-White
I needed 15 LED's so I ordered 2 sets @ $17.88

LED is on the left, regular 921 incandescent on the right;

Every one clicked in easily, the entire changeover took less than 5 minutes, and now I've got 5 spare LEDs and 15 spare bulbs just incase.

Now I'm just waiting for the porch and scare light LED panels to be delivered..

Those are the same ones I ordered and I was pleasantly surprised at how closely they matched the factory bulbs in both color and lumen output

My question is what do you do with the end that plugs into the power pack? It looks like it would just hang down and whip in the wind while traveling. Any suggestions

^The exterior lights are under covers, so there's no difference looking from the outside, they are covered and protected in there, and there is definitely no whipping in the wind..

I'm taking the plunge as well. This is a 30-unit order of the flat LED and then I ordered these for the open-style lights. That should have the interior done, with spares on hand. No more little ones burning their fingers on the exposed bulbs! Yea, I know, that's how they learn, but it certainly puts a damper on a trip.

Half success, half a draw. The flat pancake style are fine, white-white as opposed to warm-white. They are however, polarity-sensitive. I think my soldiering iron and I are going to have some quality time together! The 360-degree lights however, are quite a bit dimmer than the original lights. Certainly not suitable for reading, as the seller claims. Over the dining table, if you like mood lighting, these would be great!

So my question: does anyone have a current link for a suitable 360-degree 921-socket LED that is close to original brightness and color?

All You have to do is swap the little wires with Your finger nail. Its really simple and quick.

I'm not going to knock eBay LED's, everyone seems to have different experiences. I will vouch for John and M4, they sell the best product. The old saying, you get what you pay for stands true. We thought we were lucky with LED's we purchased on eBay a few years ago. They lasted for a while, but we had heat related issues and needed to replace LED's. We took the plunge and bought the more expensive LED's and we couldn't have been more happy. Actually, if we bought them first, we would have saved money. We have had zero problems, customer service was outstanding and you know what you are getting. We didn't have to worry if the color was going to be off or if the LED's would be bright enough.

One of the problems with some eBay LEDs is that they do not have a voltage regulator on them. Most LEDs are only supposed to be run on 9 to 12 volts any more than 12 they overheat and can burn out. While running on just battery power not hooked up to shore power they will be just fine but once the converter starts to charge the batteries you will see voltages up to 14 or so.

I have bought the same LEDs from a vendor at two different times and gotten a color difference but I'm the only one who noticed it.

One of the first mods I did and at the same time replaced all 17 bulbs in each of my vehicles which were on for 2 minutes every time you opened the door drawing 170 watts.

Cleaner lights and much less draw, not negligible when it's -50F...

I ordered a set of these a few days ago and they're a great LED for the money. Not quite as bright as stock or the LEDs I got from LEDtrailerlights.com, but not a huge loss in light output and the color is spot on. I ended up putting them in the bathroom, all the reading lights, over sink light, etc.

We've had them in for a month now and they've been perfect.. we'll see how they do for the rest of the season but I really can't see myself going back to old bulbs.
