Outside Read ladder

The latter to climb on top seems to me, not as stable as it should be. I have a hard time really trusting it at 220 lbs.

Has anyone tried to reinforce the ladder? How would you do this? Sure would like to have some suggestions. Thanks

mine is rated for 300 pounds. I did partially break mine at the bottom. I leaned back and it bent in. I put 1/2 inch galv pipe inside of it and made it stronger. I would recommend taking it off and disassembling the big Phillips screws and making sure the mounting clips are pushed into the pipe. I had one that was barely pushed in on one of the top l brackets. if it had popped loose I would have had a bad ride to the ground. heres a video I did
