Raptor 300 mp couch option

I have a 2012 300mp and the one long couch in the slide. For some reason I don't find sitting on this couch comfortable, it hurts my legs. I know its strange . Anyone know who is making those recliner sofas I am seeing in units now, or a recommendation for one

We just picked up a 2014 300MP with the recliner couch. As soon as the snow melts I'll go out and look at it and see if I can tell who made it. It is one of the more comfy pieces of RV furniture.

Post 2013 raptor seating capacity

We have the same comment regarding the comfort of the long single sofa in the slide of our 2013 300MP and have considered upgrading to something else. I looked at pictures of the 2014's and the sofa arrangement definitely looks more comfortable but at the same time it looks like you may reduce your total seating capacity on that area?? Comments??

On the other hand, we also use our folding table and that existing sofa for our Kitchen table eating arrangement. Our concern is that these more cushioned sofas would not work as well when you were using the folding table?? For those of you that have the more comfy sofas is this a concern?? comments??

Yes guys do think about eating

Thanks

Our comfy recliner couch in the slide seats 3, could get 4 if you're friendly. 4-5 friendly teens easily I could see. As for eating, we live outside, use the RV to sleep and shower mostly. If bad weather we would use either the living room or the garage. Our last RV didn't even have a dinette or table and chairs. We opted for a second sofa instead, not once did we miss not having a table, we had several small end tables we could use in a pinch and it worked out just fine.

Edit - We haven't tried using the couch with either of the fold up tables, so I can't answer you on that. I'm thinking since we kept the small end tables from the previous RV we will probably use them when needed instead of the large folding table.

I spoke to the rep at the boat show last weekend and he said they couldn't get replacement couches. I was kinds shocked at that personally , but it was not a part you could purchase . Another show in a couple of weeks and I will see if there is a rep there

The rep is probably completely correct. As the model years change and furniture manufacturers introduce new models to compete with the changes in fashion, the older models fall from production. Just as you can't go to a Ford dealer and order a new "2011 F250" you can't go to Keystone and order a "2011 Fuzion sofa". Once the model run is expended, the components for building that model are no longer available. There may be a couple left over, somewhere, but Keystone doesn't keep a stock of replacement sofas in a warehouse to support possible customer requests. During the model run, you could probably get a replacement, but once the build is complete, those few leftover parts get sold to a surplus RV warehouse to make room for the current model components.

If you could find one, chances are it would be from a warehouse supplier of "non-current" parts.

I understand as you stated above about previous model parts. But the recliner selection that I am talking about is in the new units. That is the unit that I would like to have in replace of the couch that I have.

I have looked around, spoke with reps, nothing. Going to check out furniture stores now to see what there options are.

We are not in a rush, just something I would like to change.

I can't find any mfgr info on my couch and the tag was gone when we picked it up, so can't help with who made it. I know from experience that the furniture in our last rig was made by Flair Interiors who was making quite a bit of the RV furniture at the time (2010 model year). I don't know if they are still in business, but a Google search may turn up something. I will say this, even though our last rig was a complete PoS (not KS), if you called them they would talk to you and help you and even sell you stuff directly or refer you to the OEM. I'm not sure why KS thinks they have to keep everything so "secretive" and is so unwilling to sell stuff to owners, but everyone has their own reasons for doing business the way they do.
