2014 Cougar 333MKS satellite connections

Hey all,

Anyone know what the deal is with the Storage compartment up front and the sat/coax conector up there. Its not labeled.

I have what appears to be two incoming connections in my convience center .. only one is labled. One goes to my living room .. the other the bedroom. I tried jumping both to see if my sat would work from the storage bay .. but got nothing. Any ideas ?

I called Keystone but they dont have any documentation on it or wiring schematics. In order to troubleshoot further i would have to be infront of it.

Hi Dan,

Attached is a sketch of the coax in my Cougar 5er. It sounds like it is similar to yours. The unlabeled connector in the convenience center is the Cable connector. I have used the connector marked Satellite Prep to connect a TailGater Dish to the receiver in the entertainment center. It worked.

There is an additional connector in the basement, on the opposite side of the TT. That one will only work for cable or antenna.

The Winegard plate and the splitters are known to cause problems for satellite to receiver signals.

Fantastic thanks for the diagram.

That would explain why the sat worked in the bedroom when i hooked up the dish to the cable position.

Thanks again. Big help !

Dish

I have a similar set up on oir 2011 Outback 5er, 329 fbh.
Dish converter box we have is 2 zone. Whatever is selected in master bedroom is what goes to the front bunkhouse. Whatever is in living room will be the same as cable outlet in storage area used for outdoor hookup.

Lots of variations out there. I am just sharing our experience.
