Under sink/inside cabinet lighting

Our particular floor plan/arrangement has an island with the kitchen sink and cabinets with storage.

Whether you use the overhead lighting or the lighting over the stove... Doesn't matter. Bad shadows are cast making locating items in the cabinet beneath the sink a bit of a pain.

Welp.... $15 later for two "single" style lights and just a bit of wire and I've solved the problem.

Mounted 1 single for the upper shelf and the second single for the lower shelf/drawer.

Even in the pitch dark, finding items in the cabinet is now a snap.

Here with the camera's flash turned on, you can see the location of the upper shelf "single". Lower shelf/drawer's is mounted about the same.

Right now each light is switched separately, so turning them on requires a reach into the cabinet. I plan on adding either a switch right at the opening (so no reaching is required), or a door-pin style switch such that they come on when the cabinet doors are opened.

That's a real nice job. I think I'll have to it.

Being as lazy as I am, why not use battery operated lights? I use these motion sensor ones in my pantry:
