Fridge drain

Just to give all a heads up.Yesterday I was doing a few things to the trailer and found the drain tube was not out side the vent door so to fix that off the vent door and I found the drain tube was brittle and fell to bits so I had to replace it to keep the drain water from damageing the wall behind the fridge...Better to check it now than after water damage show's up.....Bushman

I had the same thing last year and thought it was just me. Maybe I am normal after all. I replaced mine with clear vinyl tube that is much more flexible. Hank

When looking at the drain on my Passport some time ago I noticed it had a loop in the drain line and it was filled with water in that area. I undid the loop and just have a straight drop out the cover. Does anyone know if it should have a loop or not.

Drain from fridge

You do not want water to sit in the line so You did right to remove the loop.If You have a little window screen shove a very small bit in the line to keep the mud dobbers out and still drain the water...Bushman

Hey Bushman, was changing that tube difficult?? When I bought my Passport, on the walk thru, I found the drain hose was broken off. It was very brittle. The dealer said they would fix it before I left but I really want it fixed right and replace the whole piece of tubing.

Hose was in my way when I put dirt dobber screen over access panel, so I tapped into the gray water tank vent pipe. My frig. Runs 24-7 and I haven't had any problems with clogs or odor yet(did this mod 7 months ago).

So does anyone know about what size tubing is needed (i.e. 1/4", 38", ...)? I want to replace mine as well. Guess I could take the old one off with me to the store...

Not hard to do replacement I removed a small panel in the out side acess door and the drip tray in side look at the back inside fridge wall see the plastic drain that is just pushed in a hole some puddy is around it wiggle it out and install a new tube I had a little in the shop not sure the size 5/8" I think I just used a clear tube from a ice maker I had made a nice tight fit not much of a job 15 min.tops Good luckBushman
