We did the same thing to the king mattress in our rig. Bought the pad at Costco, just unfolded it on top of the mattress, let if "remember" its shape and put the sheets back on. Makes the marginal RV mattress quite comfortable.

Pleasant dreams,

We did the same thing and it is absolute heaven to sleep on! For what we paid for our Montana it should have come with it!

Want to do this also, got a question.

Can you cut the topper down with the gel? I was afraid that the gel would be in a sealed bladder and cutting it down would cause...a mess.

The mattress was so bad in our Laredo that the only topper what would help it was when I heaved it out on top the trash can! We stuck one of our mattresses from the kid's room in there for the season. (He's away in college). Still trying to figure out the long term replacement.

The gel is not that kind.It is a cell so to speak and mixed in the memory foam. The gel is a blue and the memory foam is gray. I think there is 2 type's of product used. You are thinking of the kind used in say a shoe insole that would be a real mess haveing a liquid gel the size of the mattress leaking in the trailer lol ...good question hope My reply helped to set You strait they make a great place to sleep and cost less than a new mattress ....Bushman

I got a memory foam with the pillow top that I ordered from Walmart.com. It was about $200.00 but it sure is worth every cent. I got the Passport Grand Touring and the mattress that is in it is only 4" thick and I just put it on top of it and it has made a huge difference.

Hmm. Imay have to try the bed topper from Costco, as they're so good about returns.
Our bed seems SO uncomfortable, I'm not sure if the topper will be enough?
We haven't yet slept on it, and are talking about finding a lightweight mattress.
