Because you stated that Chuck did NOT stipulate that his post was "about seal kits"... If you "misread, misunderstood or just flat didn't read what he posted in post #3. His post was "explicitly clear that he was talking about seals, not valves. I wanted to set the record straight for anyone else who might think that Chuck was wrong and that seal kits are always interchangeable.

Never did I say the seal sets were the same. If either you or Chuck misread, didn't fully read my post or misinterpreted what I said, so be it.

My ONLY part in this thread was interchangeability of VA:VES, never seals.

Amazing what other read into a post.

You can respond if you wish, but I'm gone!

In my attempt to avoid issues with the factory valves (mine are cable operated I think) I added a Valterra twist on valve at the end of the black/grey tank 1 drain cap. It give me just a bit more peace of mind when taking the cap off. I also have replaced the factory caps with Valterra caps with the hose bib on them. I can then use my black tank flush hose to let the grey tanks completely drain at home by letting the grey water drain into the yard. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My 2019 Alpine 3700FL has Bristol valves and the bolt to bolt spacing is wider than the Valterra. NOT interchangeable!

Getting to the internal valve which is between the floor and the underbelly cover is really difficult to get at. For a seeping valve you may find it wasn’t that important.
I always have been afraid of whats behind the sewer cap when undoing it. A valve right there at cap is one thing, but a span of pipe between cap and valve is scary if it has seeped or some clown has cycled the T-Handle while cap was on!

I put a Valterra valve on the end of the pipe. They go on the pipe just like sewer hose and your cap goes on that. When you remove cap to attach sewer hose you don’t get liquid that has seeped.
Then you open the Valtera gate and then you regular black or grey valve.
