Hot Water Tank

Hi All

New to this forum!!! My 2017 HC 310RE was not winterized properly & it cracked - not my fault for the winterizing - dealership!!! I have a new tank yeah!!! Found water in the underbelly a friend put a small 1/4” slit in the underbelly & lots of water came out!!! How do I make sure there is no water left & should I replace the insulation? Worried about mold, mildew & musty smell.

Thanks

If the dealership caused the failure and replaced the WH then they should have resolved all the associated issues.

The only “insulation” on the top of the coroplast is that foil covered bubblewrap material, so mold shouldn’t be an issue. It will dry out in time.

First, you need that dealership to step up, fix whatever they didn't do properly winterizing (hope they have) then completely dry and check everything underneath; they did it, they fix it.

On the other hand, as was mentioned not a lot going to get wet and mold but you never know. My last trailer didn't have the front of the coroplast attached and it turned into a huge scoop for water during a bad rainstorm and filled the belly until water came out the front like a huge waterfall. Warranty repaired the faulty coroplast installation but I first pulled down the front half (almost) of the coroplast and let it sit for a couple of weeks drying out before final repairs. If you're worried you could do the same. I do NOT like randomly cutting the coroplast.
