Good RV Mattress?

Hi, I am going to replace the mattress in my keystone. I think it is called a short Queen.

Do you have any recommendations for good mattresses, brand names?

Thanks!
Janet

We took out the original mattress the day we brought the rv home and replaced it with a Gel Memory Foam mattress. We then topped it with a fitted electric mattress pad.

We put the original one under a guest bedroom that our kids can slide it out and use it for our grandkids. We left the plastic on the mattress and cover it with a fitted sheet. When we trade it in we will switch them back.

Janet, I was under the impression that your keystone premier 24rkpr came with a standard queen....60"by 80". I'd measure it to see if that isn't the case. And anyway, measure to see if you can't fit a standard in there. It would make things a whole lot easier. Even if it hung over the end by 4" or so it wouldn't matter with the support.

Doesn't leaving the plastic on make the kids sweat while laying on it? I wouldn't do that to my grandchildren for the sake of a trade in. BTW, it wouldn't effect the trade in value at all.

Here is reason and its not to for resale of the mattress. My wife was an ER nurse and everything is disinfected to the point of being crazy.

Jim, I'm with Marshall here. You had me running when I read "We left the plastic on the mattress and cover it with a fitted sheet."
All in good fun, but I couldn't do that to my grandkids.

Not trying to be argumentative but placing an incontinence mat on a bed is very different that placing a fitted sheet over a plastic wrapped mattress. BTW I get the DW's concerns. My DW was a Labor and delivery/NICU nurse and taught nursing in college (adjunct faculty) I can have a finger cut off and I'll look for a band-aid. If I get a small splinter she sets up a sterile field and works on me like my finger's cut off! We balance each other out and it's work for 41 years of marrige.
