Does it need to be leveled side-to-side or front-to-rear?
If side-to-side, you do that when you first park the trailer on the campsite by determining which side is low using a level (I like one that is 24" long.) and then drive the trailer up on to boards or the orange leveling blocks. Obviously, this is done while the trailer is still hooked up to the tow vehicle.
Once the vehicle is level side-to-side to your satisfaction, you chock the wheels and drop the trailer from the tow vehicle.
Then, using the nose jack or landing gear, you raise or lower the nose until the trailer is level front-to-rear.
When you are satisfied with the leveling, lower the stabilizers to firm things up. NOTE: THEY ARE NOT LEVELING JACKS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RAISE AN ENTIRE SIDE OR END OF A TRAILER WITH THE LEVELING JACKS.
Then run out the slides, drop the awning, and pour a cold one.
