Dometic 9100 electric 12’ awning

I replaced my awning fabric and after installing, now the awning when extending it want stop after switch is released! I have ck switch - all ok. No power (electric) going to motor when released , will spring tension cause this? Comes in very slow like too much tension!

Thanks, I rolled it out about 2 ft. Then pinned it. Removed fabric roller and counted the turns fabric was rapped. Drilled out rivets Then removed motor ! This is were I messed up, purchased fabric from Sun Wave , cheaper, there fabric only has 1 sewed in cord at tube end. They have a separate cord to install after pushing fabric into groove, I assumed that was the valance groove. Wrong the sewed in cord goes in valance groove and the cord/push fabric, in groove goes in main awning groove.
What happened with the way I did it , 1st time I extended it , it over extended and arms flip over. I had about 7” longer material from awning rail on camper to awning groove in roller tube. I put sewed cord there!!!
They sent with fabric a 4 step instructions sheet telling me correct way, but I didn’t read it. I assumed they didn’t sew the other cord in to save money. So tomorrow I will have my helpers and I will redo it and also I will remove tension spring and ck it out. I have Dometic 9100 replacement instructions and it says 9 turns on spring and 11 if I pin it 2 ft away from camper
