front slide trim tearing off

does anyone know what causes this?? The trim is tearing out all around the lower half of the front slide. It has been slid out a total of 5 times since new.
The dealer says its about 700+ to fix. Can I do it myself, what do I have adjust?? to keep it from happening? Thanks in advance.

If you are able take a few photos of the area and include them with another post that might be helpful for anyone who has some suggestions for you on the cause and recommendations for fixing the trim and adjusting the slide.
You can find out how to attach a photo by going to the FAQ section and click on Attachments and Images.
