If you are buying computer style muffin fans, it may have two + leads. One for high speed and one for low speed.

On dc voltage there is positive and negitive no ground. Look at your battery pos and neg. or the neg can be concidered ground on this type system.

geo,
Got my fan in today. Connected to a battery to make sure everything ok. Hooked up to refrig DC and nothing. Check everything again and nothing. Called Silenx and they affirmed it was a bad fan. They sent me another replacement out today even though I didn't buy from them. Really good people. Hopefully next week all will be working.

Steve,
That's the wiring that is present, but since the thermister controls the speed, one outside is just a dead line. Actually the thermister is fun - hold it in your hand and the fan turns slowly, put it on a hot fridge tube and that puppy cranks up!

Just opened up an old post that I think will help others when trying to make their Frig cooler. This Mod does work. Thanks
