Rope lights

Any ideas on how to install rope lights outside under the side and above steps permanently?

Funny you should mention this. My wife and I over the weekend while camping were thinking of the same thing. Some sort of clip that will go on the under side of the skirting and run it from front to back. Although I don't want something permanent, just something to hang the lights there. I'm working on it, will let you know. Happy Camping, Sam

Mine are not permanent, I use velcro. Glued to underside of skirt and tie wrapped to the rope lights.

I've been thinking the same thing for a year. I've seen those plastic squares with a loop and double back sticky on the backside. Then run a zip tie around the rope light and loop- use 1 every 12-18 inches. Kind of semi permanent.

I've been thinking of the electrical part though?
Trying to keep the plug dry and a switch would be nice!

Thanks for the replies everyone. I got them installed using cable clamps. I will just wrap the power plug with a sandwhich baggie and rubber band for now. I will figure out an easier and more efficient way to keep it dry.
