pilot light

What yr did most tt go from pilot light to elect. ignition

That depends on the trailer, the cost and the options. There are still some RV's that come standard with pilot light hot water heaters. I think it was in the mid 80's that most furnaces were converted.

The oven in our stove still requires lighting via a pilot light, a common "feature" in most RV stoves - otherwise the HW heater has electronic ignition.

It really is sad that the oven still has a standing pilot. I keep promising myself that I will do the piezo conversion outlined in other posts. But really, the whole design of those ovens sUCK! I'm just sayin...
