Kitchen Sink Replacement

Has anyone done it? DW is wanting to get rid of the cheap plastic sink in the kitchen and I was wondering what the cutout is without having to go out and measure it. Online shopping is a good past time for a cold rainy day.

I replaced the sink and faucet in a previous camper. I can't recall the cut out, but there are so many different styles and options that I don't think it would matter if I did. I wouldn't worry as much about that as the depth. It's easy to recut the counter top if you need to, not as easy to start redoing the drains to get them lined up properly, especially in the cramped area under the sink....trust me, I'm speaking from experience.

Bob here are the responses to my thread when I considered changing out my sink to SS. By the way for now decided not to do it

I don't really care if it's not SS. My reason for replacing it is that the drain is higher than the edges and all of the water doesn't drain. The acrylic ones may be OK, I'm going to go to Lowes and check out the material before I order one on line. Mine is going to be size critical as I can not afford to loose any counter space at all.'

Bob, Just thinking outside the box for a minute here, but would it be possible for you to remove your sink, use a hot air paint stripper gun on the underside of it to soften the acrylic/plastic and pull it down 1/4" so when it's reinstalled the drain would be lower?

that may be a possibility, and a lot cheaper.
