Dometic RM1350 (4 door) freezer issue

Help!

Our Dometic 1350 (4 door) fridge/freezer is having issues, again.

This time the freezer seems to have failed but not sure what would have happened in the last 5 days. Most of the contents in the freezer were thawed or partially thawed. And, the inside of the freezer looks like an ice cave (ice hanging from the top, sides and build up on the bottom). Freezer is still cold but what happened to cause the contents (meat, bread, veggies, etc.) to thaw or partially thaw? Seems the non-meat items (frozen veggies & frozen juice) that were in the doors were completely thawed, and bottom shelf items were wet/thawed on the left side(not the right), still frozen on the bottom right and all items on the top shelf were frozen.

Fridge portion is cold/normal, lots of dripping from the fins but that's to be expected with the heat/humidity. Sometimes the top of the fridge is dripping wet when I open the doors but not always.

Any suggestions, or is it time to call in the repair man.

Some Dometic "side by side" refrigerators have two separate cooling units, one for each side, but your model, I believe, has one unit that cools the entire refrigerator and freezer. So, since it's only the left side of the freezer (and not the refrigerator) that is warm, I'd think the cooling unit is not the problem. From your description, it almost sounds like the freezer door seal didn't completely close for some reason. it may have been some blockage from a part of a package of food, maybe something fell down between the door and the freezer packages and the door didn't completely close and seal? Possibly the "baffle" on the door didn't slide under the other door seal properly?

Is it working after defrosting and resetting the power? Does it work on propane or on electric or both ???
