Repair Closet Lock

Sliding door lock on closet pulled from side of RV. Locked at campground. Screws pulled out during ride home.
Pictures are of (all pics are sideways):
1 Locking attachment
2. Holes in wall
3. How it should look
What is best solution?

Use matchsticks/toothpicks and epoxy to fill the existing holes. Let that dry overnight, then reinstall with "known good screws" in the same location.
