Electric Trailer Jack

With summer coming I'm looking to swap out my manual trailer jack for an electric one (so I'm not drenched in sweat after hooking the trailer to the truck). Our tongue weight is 625 lbs and I tow with an F250. There are lots of options on Amazon but before pulling the trigger I want to see if there are any recommendations out there.

Thanks!

I have the Husky brute 4500LB power jack. Works great and will easily lift your trailer and back of truck for setting your weight bars. I had it on my old trailer and it is now sitting in my garage waiting to be put on my Laredo 291TG when the stock power jack fails that came on it. Don't wait just buy it. If there is a gadget that has a motor to do the work so I don't have to.........SOLD! Your arms will thank you. http://www.amazon.com/Husky-HB4500-4...er+tongue+jack

Hi,

This is the one I have. I selected it due to the options for mounting the jack. I mounted mine 90* from what most jacks mount. This due to interference with the jack hitting the propane bottle cover.

So far so good, works great.

Take care,

I am also fixing to purchase one. Will a 3500 lb also be sufficient to lift the truck and camper

It doesn't take a whole lot of weight capacity to lift the ball for WD bar installation. I'm sure a 3500 would work for your application.

My truck & trailer are fairly light, when hitched the trailer axels weigh 5,500 and the truck at 6,280, total 11,780Lb. Installed the Atwood 80515 Deluxe Power Jack back in 3/10/2014 at the recommendation of my dealer during RV show in Portland Oregon. The salesman got me a deal at their store where the unit was on sale for $250 and I paid $180. Has worked great since I installed, do not have to lift truck and trailer very much to take off the pressure to mount the Spring Bars, the 2,500Lb capacity seems to be sufficient.

Husky Brute 4500 for sure! I paid $225. What a workhorse! It lifted my 291TG and the back of my truck clean off the ground.
