Installing new fans, which sealant.

I'll be installing 2 new Maxxair Fans in the next few days. They will be replacing existing vents. So when I'm finished which sealant/caulking would you use for a TPO roof?

Dicor produces a sealant designed for EPO roof systems called "Ultra Sealant". You can check out the specs of this product by visiting Dicor's website.

I saw that one. It seems to be a 2 step process. Just wondering if there is a simpler tube or caulk product similar to EPDM lap sealant.

The dicor ultra sealant tube step 2 is under $10, but the primer step 1 is $40.

You do have an option approved by DICOR. If you go to the DICOR website, http://dicorproducts.com/catalog/roo...membrane/#care

That website link directs you to the "BriteTEK" (TPO) roof membrane. On that site, DICOR states, " apply Dicor lap sealant (#501LS, #502LS, #551LS) directly over the existing seal – allowing the new sealant to touch the EPDM and/or accessory surface."

DICOR 501LS is a "single tube sealant" approved for use on EPDM and TPO roofing membranes.

You can find DICOR 501LS at most RV parts departments...

There's no "specific requirement" to use the "2 part TPO specific sealant system" according to the DICOR website.

Thanks John, good find. That's what I'll be using then.
