Alpine 2014 model 3010RE six month review

Have made four trips with the unit. Two longest trips were 610 miles one way and 340 miles one way. Other two trips were short distance of 45 miles. Issues.. None

AC worked very well when we were in Vegas with temps of 95 degrees.. Glad it has dual AC. The electrical and gas water heater function quite well. Auto level and slides so far have worked perfect. I lube the slide seals with dry silicon and also lube the slide bevel gears with dry graphite spray lube when extended.

Tires - they are stock and I am wary of them due to all the negative posts I have read. I use a tpms (TST) system and am amazed at how much the tire pressure and temperature rise in a very short time. Inflated to 80 psi cold. They rise to about 86 to 91 psi and temperature if it's 90 outside will rise to around 95 to 100 on all 4 tires..

Replaced the main tv dvd unit with a new sony blue ray as the factory Samsung sucked.. Did the factory firmware update and even after that it would start to play blue ray disc and pause about every 45 seconds.. Ever sit and watch a movie and have to keep hitting the play button on the remote.. Not fun..

Heat pump .. Got to use that last month up in west yellowstone as temps were down to 35 in the morning.. It worked very well and did not need to use gas furnace

Fireplace .. Used it a few times in the evenings with temps outside in 35 to 45 and it did very nice job of taking the chill off..

Shower and bathroom .. All worked super..

All appliances fridge, stove, microwave worked fine..

Tows like a dream at 62mph.. Love this thing so far..

We just bought a 2015 3010 re alpine. Hope everything goes well for us. Do have a question for you. We have two grey tanks. What runs in them?

Congratulations on picking the Alpine. Usually one gray tank for kitchen sink and one for bathroom sink and shower. If you have Towmaster tires I would read about the problems. We love our Alpine 3555rl and have only had one problem we lost a tread on our Towmaster ST trailer tire and did $3100 in damage. Alpine was one year old and had less than 6000 mile on tires. Checked the pressure (80psi) regularly and never overloaded, but factory claims damage from was one or the other or both. Good luck and hope you enjoy the Alpine

Chuck,

Glad everything is still working as advertised. Our experience in very similar, no issues so far (3 trips). We didn't have any problem with our bluray, it works without issue. Next trip is planned for September. Enjoy that alpine, stay safe and have fun.

Bud

have had a very similar experience with our Alpine. I will say your tire pressures rise quite a bit more than mine ever do. The highest I have seen mine is 91, that was on the sun side in 90+ temps, the shade side stayed about 86-88. With your pressures rising up into the 100 range from 80 cold, I would be very skeptical. I have to take a 1200 mile trip with mine in a couple months, the OE tires will be replaced prior to that.

Last trip we made from Yellowstone back to home. Morning outside temps 55 degrees. Tire pressures 78 to 79 indicted by TST. Truck rear tires 79 and 80.

About 15 miles into return home trip tire pressures on trailer had risen to 85 to 88 and about same on truck rear tires.

During course of trip outside temp rose to 99 degrees. Tire pressure all rose up to 90 to 91 with tire temps ranging 100 to 105

Maybe all normal indications. Driving speed 62mph. Stopped about every 125 to 150 miles. All 4 trailer tires felt about the same and axle hubs feel same

Just keeping and eye on things as I've never had tpms on trailer before.
