I also installed the detachable version. Love them! I no longer have to worry about dw or me loosing out footing on the fold out steps. I left the folding steps in place for use when we make "potty stops" along the way. I wrap the removable steps in a furniture blanket and store on edge between slide and entertainment center while traveling.

Also, the solid steps won't work where we store our rig because we're close to the rig parked next to us.

One of the best upgrades we've made.

I also made a step we carry, otherwise that first step can be tough.
