will two 6 volt golf cart batteries be better than 2 Costco marine batteries?

I have a 2012 High Country Cougar 5th wheel and we want to do alot of dry camping.
Right now I currently have two 12 volt Interstate marine deep cycle batteries hooked up in parallel that I bought at Costco.

We want to do alot of dry camping and want to use a generator and Renogy solar suitcase with built in controller.
We would like to run our TV and night and some lights want to make sure we have plenty of power.
A couple of people suggested that I purchase two 6 volt Golf cart batteries and wire them in series would this be better for me than what I have right now ?

You need to compare the amps. Go on line and see for yourself if the 2 you have are above or below 2 6v.

As long as your not in a noise restricted area, you can run the gen at night. If there are “quiet hours” then you’ll need an inverter to watch tv.

reply about TV

I hate to sound stupid but my TV will not work if I am not plugged into a generator of electric ?

Do I need to purchase a inverter to watch tv ? How do I wire that or do you just purchase one for TV and what one do you Suggest ?

Most RV tv's now days are 110v. That means you need an inverter or generator if not using shore power. I installed an economical 750 watt inverter (you could get by with a 300 watt) right at the entertainment center. I just plug the tv into the inverter and it's running off the batteries. No need to run the generator to watch the tv. Install is simple in your 5er. Just use #10 wire from the battery distribution terminals and tie it directly to the lugs on the inverter. Turn the inverter off unless you're using it so there is no draw on the battery. Invertr shown is under $50

You can use a generator or batteries with inverter to watch tv. If you want to use solar, you'll need an inverter. Two six volt golf cart batteries (in series) will probably have more amp hours than two 12 volt batteries in parallel.

I have 2 Renogy 100 watt solar panels and MPPT charge controller. Four 6 volt golf cart wired in series/parallel and a 1200 watt inverter. Runs tv and satellite receiver along with lights, refrigerator, and heater all night long. I also have 4000 watt generator, so I always have AC when needed.

Our 2012 Montana has a 12 volt TV in the bedroom, and the TV in the living room is 120 volts, so possibly his 2012 Cougar has a 12 volt DC TV in the bedroom also.

What size are your current batteries? I now have two Interstate SRM-27, one would run the furnace over night, two did it with ease.
