Suburban Ovens

I have a 2955rl w/a Suburban stove, model #SR3LWBE.The Oven thermocouple/safety valve has gone bad, and, so far, everyone that I've contacted tells me that the part (161152) is unavailable.
Web searches have yielded nothing. Craigslist, Ebay etc. are dead ends.
Can I put a newer valve from the same product line in? if so , which one?

Or should I just bite the bullet and replace the oven?

I had the exact same problem and I called every place that I could think of and like you I had no results.
I ended up going to a gas fitters supply store and they cross checked the #'s and set me up with a new one which works perfectly.

Steve S. is there any you could share the cross referenced number for the part? Also what exactly was not working to know your safety valve was not working? I have the same range. My pilot lights fine but the burner will not fire up. When I turn the valve up to light the burner my pilot light flame J

The exact same thing was (is) happening to me. Life happened, so I haven't had the time to follow up with Steve's suggestion, much less get the trailer out.
Oh well, there is still some good camping weather left.

Thumbs up Sr3lwbe oven thermostat

Steve, I contacted Suburban or Airxcel as they are now and was informed the part was removed for sale due to the fact it contained mercury. Is there any possible was you could give the company name and part number you used. My oven is useless without it as younwell know. I have no idea how or where to locate a gas fitter.

Thank you ,
Jay Mongeau
