Faucet water line connections

Like others have reported, I occasionally get a leak from the lines going to my outdoor kitchen sink that's caused by the fittings loosening up as the kitchen is pulled out and put back in.

Over time it's gotten harder to seal this joint and I need to either replace the lines (preferably with ones a little longer so I can provide strain relief) or at least replace the seals.

I can't seem to figure out what type of connection this is. E-trailer lists the water supply fittings for the faucet as "the standard male and NPSM connections". Is that the same as MIP / FIP? The lines available at Home Depot are FIP. The cone washers from FIP fittings do not fit the lines I have.

https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Showers-...ts/EM74JR.html

Both ends of the water supply line have the fitting shown in the attached picture (straight on one end, 90°elbow on the other). What I'd like is a 48" line with a 90° fitting on one end and a straight fitting on the other (current line is 40" long).

Anyone know where to get the little seals for these fittings? If I can find the seals I can just lengthen the lines that I have. If I can't find the seals I'm willing to replace the lines, but I can't find the right combination for that either.

The washers are called cone washers. Very common part at most big box hardware stores.

go to Home Depot or Lowes, they should have what you need.

Thanks Chuck. I did buy a box of cone washers, but the OD was too large to fit. I'll take another look and see if there is a variety pack.

I took another look at the cone washers that I had bought and realized it was a variety pack. There was one size where the ID was correct but the OD was too large. I trimmed it down and got it in. It's still taller than the original, but it might be sealing. I left the pressure on and will check it later.

Here's what I used: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Water-Su...-206069690-_-N

Pictures of the original washers and the strain relief that I added (two PVC pipe brackets).

I found those cone washers compress over time and don't regain a seal after re-tightening. See this thread; I had the same issue:

Thanks wiredgeorge. I’m still getting a drip every hour or so. I tried tightening it down on the new cone washer some more. We'll see if that works.

Might order the ones from your link for next year but they still look different than the ones from my trailer. Might add some faucet stem grease to get by this season.

Shelby are those connections pictured in a bind? I've had them before that I had to sort of "force" that pex in line to screw those pieces together. That pressure trying to keep them aligned then let the cone washer get crushed unevenly. I cut the pex, inserted enough to remove the strain and connectors the put it back together. No more little puddles.

The ends shown at the faucet are sealed ok. I assembled them to the faucet then attached the pvc brackets.

It’s the other end that’s giving me trouble. Same type of fitting (except straight, no elbow). Completely unconstrained in the middle of a run of loose hose.

Thanks for mentioning it though. That’s another thing to watch out for.
