Another useless thread about EVs

Here's the future planned for us by those that are in charge & think they know what's good for us!
My neighbor has the Ford Mach E Mustang, why it's called a Mustang is anybodies guess, a couple days ago his wife's hip replacement popped out of place while riding in their golf cart. To shorten the story the ambulance had to come get her, but he had to borrow a car to follow the ambulance cause his car still needed 4+ more hours to charge enough to go to town & still get back.
Boy I can hardly wait for mine!! (Tongue in cheek!)
Fortunately the ambulance wasn't electric!

I don’t understand the Mustang station wagons either. Insult to a real mustang….. But, I can add one to the useless EV file. The gov (aka flannel mouth) of Minnefornia is touting a MN company that builds electric fire trucks. Just what I want trying to get to our house in the dead of winter for a fire. The STrib has a paywall, but here’s a screenshot of the article. (Also, Wyoming is a town in MN, just so it doesn’t confuse anyone)

I can’t think of a good reason a company would water down one of their most iconic and revered brands..i can only attribute it to a deliberate attempt to associate the name with an EV to make the target buyers of old school mustangs either angry because they probably won’t buy an EV anyway …or hoping the subliminal message is “mustang equals good” to a new generation who heard their parents talking about mustangs of the past.

I Think the new breed of executives at these company’s don’t care about tradition…they may even be actively pushing away from tradition to satisfy new global policy’s

I certainly hope there is a humongous lawsuit the first time a fire truck can't do its job because of the electric issues, to numerous to name. Somewhere somehow this crap has got to stop!

Just think about 66 elementary school kids on a "big yellow electric bus" when the battery shorts out and "torches all the kids who can't escape because the rear door has an electric lock" .....

Granted, things can go very badly wrong with a gas powered or a diesel powered bus, but that technology has been "refined by years AND YEARS of improvement through lessons learned" .... Not so with the current "big yellow battery powered busses".....

Yep, yep, yep! I can't wait until police departments start switching all their patrol cars over to EV! Now, won't that be something!

Now, I’m half scared/ half laughing! I hadn’t even seen that 2024 monstrosity until I did a search based off your comment. Luckily, it seems like that’s just someone’s attempt at a joke? DH and I had named the Mustang Mach E a station wagon because it was so very much NOT Mustang-looking when we saw one in person.

Well they thought about it in 1965!
I actually think it would have been a great sports wagon.

There already is an "all electric solar powered RV"... It'll even recharge your Tesla to go another 40 miles....

https://bowlus.com/volterra/

And, it starts at "only $310,000 (that's $1885/month if you can't just write a check)..... Quite the deal, eh ?????

i imagine one day we will be driving enormous batteries with a couple of seats and a steering wheel…the rv trailers will just be a ginormous battery (to help power the tow vehicle )with tandem wheels and a tent that folds out from the side ……maybe a large solar array on top…

Headlines from George’s article:
“ Two Georgia men found out electric vehicles don't make good getaway cars when they stopped to charge their Tesla.”
I think it was a now-famous American who once said “You can’t fix stupid!”

Wow, way to bash those EVs. I have a Mach E Mustang and a F150 Lightning and I live in rural Ontario, Canada. Love both of them but I'm not likely to tow distances yet. Also have an Ice F150 Eco Boost.

Of the three my favorite is the Lightning. So before crapping on EVs go drive one
