My camp for the weekend.

Spent last weekend at Rutherford Beach, south of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Had an amazing time and caught some Gafftop catfish, big'uns!!!!

I'm jealous. I'll be replacing all of the outlets in my camper this weekend.

FYI, a better location for your thread might be in the Campgrounds and Destinations section.

I think we set up camp by that same pile of seaweed a bunch of years ago....

Somewhere between Rutherford Beach and Trosclair Road, out there in the swamp, is the remains of our mobile home that used to sit on pilings, off of Parish Road 362, which our part of that road "sort of disappeared into the sand... LOL We finally sold our 10 acres about 5 or 6 years ago, so if we head back, we'll be "on the beach" again rather than parked by the well and the septic system LOL

Sorry about the trailer, that was some bad storms. But be glad you made it out of the path alive.

My 3X great-grandfather, Jacob Stampley Cole (1799-1884) lived down the beach in Pecan Island. Wish I could hear the stories.

Wow, I'll bet they would be awesome!!!! I used to listen to my great grand mother tell stories of her childhood. She was 101 years old when she went home.

No beach camping at Grand Isle or Fourchon beaches. They were torn up bad during hurricane Ida. Grand Isle state park was being used for workers during the clean up and don't think its back open yet. That was the closest to beach camping with a camper around Lafourche Parish.
