SRW Ford rear wheel well liner on DRW Ford SD's "VIDEO"
I know there are a ton of threads out there discussing putting SRW rear wheel well liners on DRW Ford SD's. Thanks to all who paved the way for us new DRW Ford owners.
However, I could not find a video that detailed how easy this mod is to do so I decided to make one.
I am not a professional, not a Youtube star, not monetized and there are no affiliate links in the description. I don't even ask to like and subscribe!
Was fun trying to work with one hand while holding a camera!
Enjoy or not

Wow, another Better Idea from Ford. My 2016 Ram Laramie 3500 DRW came standard with full wheel well liners, just like the 2001 Ram Laramie 2500.

Ignoring the comment from one of the forum's usual bashers, you did a great job on the video. I'm curious to know if you would have removed the wheels/tires if you did it again?

Well just wondering two things about the Ford DRW, why doesn't Ford offer this Factory part as an option? I watched the OP's video, he simply installed a factory part following the factory instructions no modifications to the part or procedures that I saw.
Currently Ford is the only manufacture that still sticks a add on fender extension on a DRW, both GM and Ram now have separate side panels for DRW.
I was Ford loyal for 43 years, but when I wanted a diesel, the Ford/IH 6.0 was suffering from issues. I took a chance on a Dodge wrapper for a Cummins diesel and haven't looked back. Still love my Bullwinkle mirrors, that another member bashes!
Just don't understand why Ford doesn't offer a full liner for DRW.

Thanks,
No way on removing the wheels/tires. They were not an issue other than getting a little dirty. Nothing an old sheet or towel wouldn't prevent.

It is a great mystery on why they don't offer it on the DRW. Nobody seems to know but Ford.
I still like the looks of the Fords DRW fender extensions over the others though. I am not a fan of the look of the seamless more aero dynamic fenders although they are likely more fuel efficient.

For other than cosmetic purposes I can't see any purpose to adding these filler panels on a new truck. I have seen where folks are doing the same thing on the new JK Jeeps.

For me it was mostly cosmetic but it also helps keep the rear wheel from slinging crude in places it does not belong. Someone also reminded me that it helps prevent dents in the bed from underneath by rocks being thrown up.

If you lived where salt and corrosive snow melting chemicals were used from September through May every year, you'd have a different view. While wheelwell liners don't keep salt off the paint, they do protect the paint from chipping which does help slow rust and even "aluminum corrosion" from destroying a vehicle in the 6th year of ownership, especially when the "manufacturer's warranty only covers 5 years of "rust protection" and the payments end the month before you see something like this on your truck.....

Now you've got my curiosity up, and I'll have to take a peek at my 2016 F350 Dually and see what is there or not. Good video and thanks for sharing. I'm guessing the part number will be different for a 2016 model vs. a later model like yours, so I'll be checking it out. Thanks again neighbor!

I think the part number you would want is:

Thank you......AGAIN.....sheesh.....it almost looks like I'm being lazy and retired.......oh wait......I am!
Actually, retired is correct........lazy, not so much. I'm actually trying to recuperate a bit. I turned my right ankle pretty bad about a week ago an ended up going to a clinic this past Sat and getting it Xrayed. Nothing broken but lots of swelling still, so I went to an Ortho Dr. yesterday. More Xrays but nothing broken, just a pretty bad sprain so I'm trying to do the ice, elevation, restrict my movement, and Ibuprofin to help with the swelling. We are suppose to leave for our out west trip and I certainly don't want or need to be hobbling around for that.

Makes me glad I have the aluminum bed after seeing the rust. Mine is just a single rear wheel drive, but I went and bought the liners anyway. Very easy to put on.

A lot cheaper and easier to replace that add on fender than the entire bed panel/bed if someone dings a dually flare. Ford got this one right for the working folks.
