Not new to Keystone, but New to Alpine
Buying a 2011 Alpine 3555RL, pick up in 2 weeks, can't wait. Own a 2011 Bullet 246RBS now & will still keep it till we get used to the 5er. LOL
Recommend a towing vehicle for the Alpine?

Welcome to the forum - Terry & Carol. I would suggest a 3500DW Pick one of the following ---- Ford, Dodge or GMC. I am sure you will get as many recommendations as there are members. You won't go wrong with any of these 3. I can't recall anyone on here ever complaining about their tow vehicle!

Welcome !! And x2 what Festus2 says. Though to derail the Truck Wars, I'm sure Festus2 means for GMC to include any and all the trucks in the GM family: Chevrolet, GMC, etc.

Suggestions?
So a 350 or 3500 will do fine? DWD or SW? DWD seems hard to fine in a decent price range. Diesel seems the way to go though. Suggestions on the hitch, some of the campers we have run across suggest the Super Glide, works better in tight turns. we're having it delivered to a permanent camp site site for now. Then in 2 years hit the road!

Terry&Carol -
From my own experience and my own opinion, I would suggest that you consider DRW. This also implies a long bed truck, so a slider hitch doesn't matter. Most everything on the Alpine is maximum rated to 15,500 pounds, so there are advantages to matching that with the hitch and the truck. Personally, I opted to early order a 2011 Ford F350 with DRW and the factory installed fifth wheel hitch rails and the Reese Elite 25K hitch. But you should shop for your own preference. The diesel almost goes without saying - once you load your belongings, you will appreciate a diesel.
There are many Alpine owners here. We all have "things" we like, don't like, live with, and modified. I would recommend printing off the PDI sheets and taking the with you at inspection time. Otherwise, if you have questions, you are in the right place.
