Sloppy Dicor job on new Keystone 1750RD roof

I just looked at the roof on our Springdale 1750RD that we just bought in october. Our first trailer. The sealant was applied sloppy around the thru-roof fixtures. I thought it was worse, but on closer inspection it was limited to theeee fixtures.

If the selling dealer did a proper PDI, then the roof was inspected prior to delivery. Sloppiness aside, as long as there aren’t any “voids” in the Dicor, your probably not going to get it redone on warranty. Keep us in the loop as to what they say/do.

As long as it is effective and seals the seams it will be called good. I have seen dicor jobs that look like an artisan applied them and others by someone as blind as I am with defective quadfocals.

Can you post a picture? The sealant around roof vents is called self-leveling and is not applied as a neat bead, but laid on over the screws and seam to form a seal.

To be expected sadly...

Areas on my roof looked horrible, but hey - at least it's sealed. There was even a nice blob where tech must have set gun down in middle of nothing.

As noted though - no gaps/voids and looks sealed and stuck to roof/fixture, as Paul McCartney would say...let it be.

Agree with others as stated above... As long as the seams and everything is sealed, messiness doesn't really matter. No one sees the roof and a messy calking job and a neat and tidy calking job makes no difference to the camper as long as the calk seals the seam.

Nothing to worry about. Enjoy the camper and live life! Time to go forth and fun now!
