Question Keyless Entry -Programming

I tried to program the keyless entry today.

It is a southco Wireless Keypad. I have an instruction page but it does not seem to work at all. No keypad lights come on at all when the buttons are pushed. It may not be getting any power.

Does anyone know where the "transmitter" is? Is there a separate fuse or switch somewhere?

Thanks, daldous

Make sure the door is closed, there are contacts on the hinge side that make contact for power. i still have no luck with mine, and cant find the battery for the transmitter

The lights in the keypad are very dim. I waited till it was dark out to program mine. I have identical trailer and wireless keypad works perfect, after programing in my new code.

Did the keypad at least light up when you tried? If not, check fuses and battery in key less entry. I have also seen some posts saying keystone has been replacing faulty key less entry pads.

Here are the instructions I used. It also took me a few tries, but I did get it to work.
Good Luck,
Carl

Changing the User Code

The unit is shipped with a default user code of 1234, but can be changed
to a 3-7 digit number. To change the user code:

1. Press the 9·0 button for approximately 3 seconds. Keypad lights
should flash twice then stay on.

2. Enter the current user code. When entering the last digit of the
current user code, hold the button for approximately 2 seconds.
Keypad lights should flash once then stay on.

3. Enter the new user code. When entering the last digit of the new
user code, hold the button for approximately 2 seconds. Keypad
lights should flash once then stay on.

4. Repeat the new user code. When entering the last digit of the
new user code, hold the button for approximately 2 seconds.

5. Keypad lights should flash once then turn off. The user code has
been successfully changed.

If the keypad lights turn off during Steps 1-4, then programming has been timed out and the process needs to be repeated from Step 1.
