Springdale residential toilet options

Hey all, I have a 2007 Springdale that will be used solely as a parked residence. I have been searching the web for videos or how to guides on removing the black water tank and installing a flush toilet with a P-trap, but have not been able to find anything. I know the space does not allow for a standard toilet with attached tank, so the trick is how and where to connect a tank overhead on the wall, or something similar. Any ideas are welcome, and if you happen to have a link to a page where someone else successfully modded this, that would be awesome.

Would one of those "commercial" toilets that have a flush valve (like you see at chain restaurants, rest stops, etc) versus a tank work?

Since your going to tie into the exsisting sewer, I would think it's cheaper and easier to leave it as is and just dump on a regular basis. If your NEVER going to sell the trailer then putting in a "residential" toilet maybe something to think about. We just sold a unit to a couple and she mentioned changing the toilet for a "comfort height" toilet.

I'm not sure, that may fit as far as space is concerned, but I guess those systems have to have a certain minimum flow and pressure to work, I will check into that and see if my water system can work with that

The Springdale black tank is below the DARCO cover, so removing the tank is not that big of a deal. Space inside for the toilet will be your greatest challenge. Most RV toilets, although they "look the same size" are smaller and sit closer to the wall than residential toilets, so you may have to "refloor the bathroom" to cover the existing installation and cut new holes for the bigger toilet (if you can find one that will fit the space). As for "remote tank toilets" there are several "residential models" (not commercial models) available.

Do a "Google search" for the term: Remote Tank Toilet and you should get a number of potential solutions. My only comment would be: It ain't cheap
