Hi Everyone!
Well, I made it "official" last Saturday - and I am ECSTATIC!
We picked up our "new to us" 2016 Keystone Passport 2400BH. The camper was owned by an elderly couple who used it three times and traded it in on a bigger one. The camper is so lightly used that they didn't even get a chance to remove the safety tags from the blinds!
I am towing it with a 2016 GMC Canyon with the V6. I know that I am near the upper limits on the truck, and I was a bit concerned with how it would perform along with the safety aspect - need to make sure my family is safe, but the tow home squelched any fears I had. Of course, I had to tow it home in 20 MPH wind gusts so it put my 28' camper towing abilities to the test less than 1 mile from the lot when I got on the on ramp. The WD hitch plus the brake controller kept everything in check even with the crappy cross winds. A 2500 Super Duty it is not - but, it gets the job done and I still get near 20 MPG during the 340 other days of the year PLUS the truck fits in my garage.\
In general, I'm happy.
Being in Wisconsin, time is limited for camping - but we are excited to see what this summer brings.
