Diamond Plating in front

I`ve been searching for a thread on the best way to keep the front end Diamond Plating looking like new. Does anybody have any good suggestions or know of a product that you use and have great results? Thanks so much.

I buy a product from my local Kenworth dealer called Purple Metal Polish. It is awesome at cleaning chrome and polished aluminum. I apply it by hand and remove it with a power ball buffer on a drill.

Amazon has Purple Metal Polish.

I use Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish. Got it at Pep Boys, I think. Typical aluminum polish applied with elbow grease.

If the diamond plate is really metal, you can use a polish/cleaner like Nevrdull. We used it on aircraft skin in the Air Force. It would make a T-33 shine like new with a little work. It would stay shined and streak free for several weeks. I would think that on an RV, it would stay looking good for much longer....

WalMart sells it as do several other places. Here's the company website:

I would not recommend it for plastic diamond plate.....

While JRTJH may prefer Neverdull, Good stuff, I found that Ouator
(pronounced water), does an even better job. Had some friends
(long ago , place far away), that showed motorcycles and cars and that
was what they used. A tad pricey but here's a link;

Your right hankaye, options are always a good thing. Thank you, I`ll check into this as well.

If your diamond plating has the smooth shiny surface (like a stainless steel look), then you will likely want a non abrasive polish/cleaner.

If your diamond plating has the polished aluminum look, then you will likely be able to use any cleaner/polish.

They are not all the same and do not all produce the same results on various metal surfaces, so be sure you understand your diamond plating and what you are using to clean it!!!

Once clean you will also want to protect it with a good wax to minimize corrosion.

I would recommend you start with a non abrasive polish and see if it gives you the expected results!
