7 pin update

Took the truck into my mechanic to have the 7 pin checked and a couple of other things. 3 blown fuses were the problem. sometimes I feel so wee todded.

Bak in the 70's I had no problem working on cars but with today technology, I'm totally lost.

We hope to get out here soon. Had all four ball joints replace and an alighnment but now the truck won't come back to center after turning plus still have the bounce in the front at 45 mph. so, we are trying to get that all figured out. But at least we will go out to the storage place and hook up the 7 pin to make sure everything works. A little bit of stuff at a time.

7 pin update

I know, probably not a big deal to some but it's a step in the direction that we soon will be going somewhere. Went out to the storage lot today and plugged in the 7 pin to the truck and everything works!! Well, sorta. The right rear blinker on the TT didn't work...and then it did and then it didn't. Changed bulbs and the same thing. Pretty sure it's the socket which should be an easy fix. As for the issues with the front end of the truck, went to another shop on Friday and they rebalanced the tires as they were out a bit from what Les Schab had done. Took it out for a test run and still have the "bouncey effect" between 45 and 50 mph. Stiff steering is still there after replaceing the ball joints as the truck doesn't really want to go back to center on turns. Taking it back to the shop the installed all four ball joints tomorrow and hopefully this issue can be resolved. One a positve note, took a drive up into the mountains on Sunday and drove through several camp grounds that we're interested in going to. Two were a definate on our list but the third just didn't have any sites large enough. It was fun to drive through them and just see what's out there.
