Selling Advice

I’m not really sure about where to post this question but thought I would try this forum. I am planning to sell my Keystone Alpine 5W soon and I am curious about how others have sold theirs. Specifically, I am interested in how you went about supplying power to demonstrate the AC units to prospective buyers. I need at least 30 amps to do that, but my RV storage place only supplies 15 amp power, which is enough to keep the batteries trickle-charged and the residential fridge running. Any suggestions appreciated.

I needed power one time when my welder was at a jobsite. I ended up renting a generator from home depot for a couple hours. I would make sure people realize the problem involved and that is one aspect. Other would be to transport it to a place with proper output power. I realize both would be an inconvenience but the price of your Alpine warrants some quick action. Just make sure the prospective people know the position you're in and trouble you have to go too.

Yep, that's a good idea. I had considered that, but didn't want to buy one unless I had to. Renting is a good option though. Thanks!

Maybe the storage place has a 30 amp plug somewhere that you could pay a little extra to use.renting a generator could get expensive if the buyers are just looking around and not really planning on buying it. You could always get a deposit with the agreement that you will rent a generator to show them it works..or just tell them that it works and let them take your word for it.

The 30 amp thing is a good suggestion. I'm going to check that out. Too obvious :-)
