Wheel well clearance missing

We have a new Cougar 24sabwe

The passager side tires have hit the flooring & burned the waterproofing (name?) away.

The clearance is only a flattened hand thickness.

Should be 3-4" when level but every time we measure it we're back to the 1".
When we first inspected the unit the bathroom floor creaked & still does.

It seems like the springs are soft or mounts broken or bent.

We've told the dealer to replace springs, measure spring eye to eye, measure bolts to bolts, & install Mor/ryde.

Any ideas?

Same issue occurred on our 2020 29RLKWE in July. Both axles were bent and the springs on one side collapsed. Uncertain if the springs went causing the axle bend or vice versa. Both axles and all springs were replaced under warranty. No issues since - about 3.5" of clearance on top of each tire.

Life-in-Him,

First, welcome to the forum. Happy to have you as a member...

As for your wheelwell clearance, there's possibly much MUCH more than meets the eye going on... Your dealer needs to do a complete inspection of the entire suspension system. The problem may "just be a weak spring" or it could be anything from broken/bent spring hangers, damaged/bent axles, bearing issues, wheel issues, incorrect equalizer or tire size, just to name a few....

Give them a shot at inspecting the ENTIRE suspension system, not just an "owner directed focus to replace one item"..... You may be "spot on" with your diagnosis, but there could be a lot more that needs to be fixed... Don't tie the dealership's hands by telling them what to do, it could end up with a warranty denial from Keystone to repair the "real issue" if they approve a "first fix that doesn't work" based on a limited inspection/repair by the dealer.

My Cougar 25 RES had the identical issue on passenger side. The black fabric under the wheel well was burned and scored, we also had less than 1 1/2" clearance.

Dealer ordered new 4400 lb axles, brakes included and now I have 3" of clearance. The dealer sort of said there was a known issue.

Thanks.

The dealer is comparing my rig to others on the lot. If it's a known issue that should identify it.

We've seen other rigs with similar issues but not as bad. They're checking more items & found one brake magnet open but shoes & magnets normal.

Our first thoughts were to explain what we found but decided to just show them the burned floor covers & the devressed in clearance.

Having built several trailers we aren't about to void the warranty by fixing it ourselves.

Wheelwell clearance

Comparing other rigs to ours, "WE" rigs have more problems.Installing lift kit & Mor/ryde cs3000 gives 3-4" clearance instead of 1-1.5". A design/manufacturing problem. We always had to block thst side up on level sites.
