Usually pull onto them since I have a Propride and want to be sure the head is straight for hooking up again.

+1 on the Anderson's and the one step chock used them on our old Gulfstream 23RBK were the easiest leveling and chocks we've ever used we're waiting for the OnstepXL to arrive for our new 2770RB.
