Welcome tconn! You are sure to enjoy your new Springdale. Kent Island is such a beautiful place. I am originally from Bowie!

tconn54,

to the forum. We also have a Springdale. They are well built without a lot of the frills, but very functional in almost every situation. I'm sure you'll enjoy it tremendously once spring gets here and you're able to get out and camp with it.

The forum members have a vast amount of experience with Keystone products, camping and RVing in general. Look through the various topics, use the search feature on the top blue bar if you can't find what interests you. And if you still can't find answers to your questions, just ask away, someone will be happy to help you solve any issues you may have.

Again, welcome to the Keystone family, enjoy your stay.

JRTJH, thanks. Can't wait to get going. The first vehicle I bought was a 1987 VW camper, cool little van.

Our first was a 1971 VW Westfalia camper. It didn't have the raised roof, just the basic camper version of the old VW van with the factory camping package. Our first trip was cross country from McGuire AFB, NJ to Edwards AFB, CA. We were returning from Turkey where I'd served for 2 years. Our daughter was 6 weeks old so we had the "obligatory grandparent visits" to include in the trip. We travelled from New Jersey to Michigan, then to Louisiana and on to California. Total mileage on our new VW when we got to Edwards was 5400 miles. Back then A/C was a novelty in the VW campmobile, so we had to travel from San Antonio to Edwards at night because of the new baby. Even then it was a warm trip. We really enjoyed that camper, but found it just a wee bit too cramped when we spent a 3 day weekend at Calico ghost town and it rained 24/7 the whole time. Yup, it definitely rains in the desert
